Rod Appleyard is a Chartered Building Surveyor, trained in the compiling and delivery of expert witness reports/giving evidence in Court. His area of expertise includes Fenestration and all facets of building envelope defects. He is knowledgeable of all facets of construction dispute and regularly works as an independent expert witness within a legal team.
Rod Appleyard has been fully trained in all aspects of expert witness instruction including the delivery of his expertise in a courtroom environment either as a single or a single joint expert where he has been instructed under both criteria. He was awarded for Expert Witness Services in Fenestration & Building Surveying 2019 by the Federation of Forensic and Expert Witnesses.
His instructions have included construction and fenestration defects, contractual and specification matters and Adjudication or Arbitration of disputes between householders and their contractors or contractors / contractors.
He accepts instruction in relation to dispute surveys, expert witness reports and Safety and Arbitration surveys and is Expert in Building Envelope, Fenestration & Glass related personal injury, Double Glazing, Curtain Walling, PVC, Timber and Aluminium frames and Structures - Furniture Glass. Glazing, Stained & Coloured Glass, Rain Screen Cladding and other masonry envelopes, for both domestic and commercial clients along with Personal Injury claims relating to glass.
