Professor Saggar is an experienced consultant with a busy private practice based at Harley Street and The Portland Hospital, London and has recently retired from his NHS practice in the South West Thames Regional Genetics Department at St George's Hospital.
Professor Saggar undertakes General & Specialist Clinics for the diagnosis of all suspected inherited disorders including dysmorphology and/or learning difficulties, patients with kidney diseases, cardiovascular disorders and hypertension, tuberous sclerosis, thrombophillia, hypermobility, connective tissue, Marfan syndrome and other inherited disorders; neurological/neuromuscular diseases, suspected osteogenesis imperfecta and cancer family histories.
One of his major interests is inherited renal and cardiovascular diseases for which he has an international academic reputation. Professor Saggar actively teaches both nationally and internationally and uses excellent visual language. Professor Saggar is also a lecturer at the UK Judicial College.
He has experience as an expert witness, both in report writing and appearing in court as a SJE for civil and criminal cases. He also gives lectures to lawyers and the judiciary on aspects of genetics.
