Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital since1986, caring for the full range of trauma patients received at a district general hospital; my main interest within elective orthopaedic surgery being in lower limb joint replacement. I have similar clinical activities in my private practice. I undertake medico-legal assessments for personal injuries compensation. My practice is broadly 50% defendant, 40% claimant and 10% joint instructions. I also see patients to assess potential medical negligence in hip and knee replacements and the management of trauma. For personal injury and disability assessments I regularly prepare reports on soft tissue injuries and fractures affecting the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. I also prepare reports on soft tissue and fractures involving the upper and lower limbs. Consultations for preparation of medical reports available in Central London, Reading, Southampton, Chandlers Ford and Winchester. I am an Associate Clinical Advisor on orthopaedics matters to the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman and a former active member of the management structure at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital.
