Dr Ravi Lingam

Dr Lingam has been a Consultant Psychiatrist for over ten years and has an extensive range of clinical experience in working in inpatient, secure and forensic community mental health services, and with detained and conditional pateints. He is approved under Section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act 1983 as amended by the Mental Health Act 2007. He is experienced in assessing and treating individuals suffering complex personality disturbance, trauma and severe mental illness. Dr. Lingam is also trained and experienced in the use of personality and risk (including risk of violence) assessment tools. He has specialist experience in the assessment of individuals who are a risk to themselves and mentally disordered offenders who are deemed primarily a risk to others. Dr Lingam has experience of preparing reports for criminal, family and civil proceedings and is able to undertake work nationwide. He is able to undertake consultation at his private consulting rooms, solicitor’s offices, home assessment or prison. Preparation time to complete a report is usually 1–2 weeks, however, in certain circumstances a 24 hour service is available. Fees for his work are capped and Dr. Lingam is LSC compliant.
