Lisa is a State Registered Occupational Therapist with over 18 years’ experience. She has experience of working with clients with a range of disabilities including neurological, orthopaedic and general medical conditions. Her vast experience in the area of brain injury management ensures that she is equipped to work with clients with complex cognitive, psychological and physical difficulties utilizing a wide variety of approaches and techniques. Over the past three years Lisa has worked as a Case Manager managing a range of cases and is currently the Lead Occupational Therapist for Neuro-disability in Cambridgeshire Community Services.
Lisa works for Jane James & Associates as a Care and Occupational Therapy Expert compiling care, aids and equipment reports instructed by both Claimant and Defendant. She reports in the areas of brain injury, orthopaedics and amputees. She has undertaken Expert Witness training via Bond Solon. Lisa is a member of the Case Management Society UK (CMSUK) and the Specialist section for Neurological Practice at the College of Occupational Therapists (SSNP).
Since qualifying as an Occupational Therapist Lisa has worked in hospitals and within the community both in the UK and abroad. During this time she has continually developed skills, in particular working with people who have been diagnosed with progressive neurological diseases and complex trauma following a brain injury. Her community roles also included the assessment and treatment of individual clients who required assistance to either maintain or return to work. Lisa was able to develop vocational rehabilitation experience working alongside Human Resource Teams and other therapy colleagues in order to recommend workplace adjustment including worksite assessment to ensure seamless transition to return the individual into their own or alternative work roles.
