Mr Julian Leong and Dr Levansri Makalanda are the founders of JLM Spine, based in London. JLM Spine offer JOINT expertise in Spinal Surgery and Neuroradiology
Mr Julian Leong is a Consultant Spinal Surgeon and Surgical Tutor at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore. He is also Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at University College London.
Mr Leongs’ expertise involves all aspects of spinal problems with children and adults. With special interests in; back pain, sciatica, spinal injections and deformity (children and adults.) Mr Leong has undertaken specialist expert witness training, and is also fluent in Cantonese and written Chinese.
Dr Levansri Makalanda is lead consultant for interventional neuroradiology at Barts Health, he has a comprehensive spine practice that spans perineurial, facet, epidural, intradural and vertebral spinal procedures..
He is also lead radiologist for the gamma knife MDT, with experience in spinal intervention cases include CT guided biopsies, vertebroplasty, perineural and facet joint steroid injections. He has completed the Intervention Spine Diploma (Basic and Advanced) from the European School of Neuroradiology.
