Mr Stephen Darius Rejali is a Consultant Otolaryngologist at the University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, commencing work there in 2004. He is the lead otologist (paediatric and adult) at Univeristy Hospital Coventry and George Elliot Hospital, Nuneaton.
Mr Rejali has expertise with hearing loss, dizziness and tinnitus; he is involved in the diagnosis and rehabilitation of patients with these conditions. He also has expertise in vertigo, paediatric audiology, middle ear and external ear surgery including tympanomastoid surgery and stapes surgery.
Otology (Ear, Hearing and Balance) is his chosen area of supra-specialist interest. He has undertaken over 1000 major ear operations.
Mr Rejali has extensive medico legal experience. He regularly prepares medico-legal reports for suspected industrial noise damage and ear symptoms related to head/neck trauma including whiplash injuries. He has prepared over 250 medical reports since 2005. At present he prepares approximately 25 reports per year. All his work has been on behalf of claimants except for 3 single joint expert reports. He has attended court once as a professional witness. Mr Rejali has also prepared a number of reports dealing with clinical negligence claims.
Attended the Academy of Experts Courses: Foundation Course, Into Court and Law & Procedure (2007- 2012); Organised (course director) a medico legal course on Noise Induced Hearing Loss: Masters Medico legal Course on Noise Induced Hearing Loss, Coventry, April 2009
