Details

I have worked in adult psychiatry with out-patients having a range of psychiatric disorders (mainly schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and personality disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorders, Anxiety and depressive disorders, etc). I have also worked as an inpatient Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult Psychiatric Units, a Personality Disorder Unit and in an Older Peoples mental health inpatient unit.

I currently work as a community Consultant Psychiatrist in Older Peoples Mental Health.

I have carried out medico-legal work since 2010 covering family, criminal, employment and personal injury work. Since 2010, I have produced close to 40 expert witness reports in the domains of personal injury concerning the mental health of adults, capacity assessments including litigation capacity, testamentary capacity and capacity to decide on place of abode. I also have experience in attending mental health tribunals for over 15 years. I have recently obtained the Cardiff University Bond Solon Expert Witness Certificate. My claimant: defendant ratio is 60:40.

I periodically undertake continuing professional development activities in London relevant for an expert witness in psychiatry, most recently (June 2016). Since 2014, I have been a Member of The Expert Witness Institute (London).

Terms
For personal injury, medical negligence and privately funded family law cases, an hourly rate applies for reading, interviewing and preparing reports.
