Dr. James Bromilow BM MRCP FRCA FFICM is a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine based in Dorset. He is currently Lead Consultant for his Trust’s Intensive Care Unit.
He has over 28 years of post-graduate medical experience including 16 as a substantive full-time Consultant. He currently holds a full time NHS post at University Hospitals Dorset. Dr. Bromilow works in a team of 7 Consultants running a busy General Intensive Care Unit and also performs approximately 500 anaesthetics per year. Dr. Bromilow has represented local, regional and national organisations on the topics of sepsis, resuscitation and intravenous fluids.
Dr. Bromilow has over 7 years’ experience acting as an expert witness in clinical negligence cases and currently writes in excess of 80 clinical negligence reports per annum. He has formal training in acting as an expert witness through the Bond Solon Cardiff Law School Expert Witness Certificate.
Dr Bromilow's current ratio of work is 60% Claimant, 40% Defendant. He has a high rate of re-instruction from a number of prestigious law firms and experience giving oral evidence in civil claims, professional tribunals and Coroner's inquests. He is a Member of the Medico-Legal Experts Practice and Medical Expert Witness Alliance.
