Ryan Shields, Digital Forensics Associate

Ryan Shields is an experienced forensic practitioner within S-RM’s Digital Forensics team. He has led complex digital forensics cases in both criminal and civil matters and has a wealth of experience in digital forensics investigations in support of litigation. Ryan works with both corporate and private clients across all industries and jurisdictions with specialist expertise in forensically analysing computers, mobile devices, and cloud-based evidence. He specialises in acting as a forensic expert in criminal and civil disputes and has presented both written and oral testimony in court.

Prior to joining S-RM, Ryan was a Technical Responder in Deloitte’s Cyber Incident Response team and spent several years performing digital forensics investigations in UK law enforcement. Ryan holds a BEng (Hons) in Digital Security, Forensics & Ethical Hacking, an MSc (with Distinction) in Cyber Security and has attained multiple industry-recognised certifications.
