Nationwide and Worldwide
Rae Denman is a Para-medical Camouflage and Medical Tattooist specialising in scar tattooing and facial feature reformation, with 13 years of experience. She is in active clinical practice, treating 80 new patients annually and performing over 800 procedures per year. As the pioneer of medical tattooing for port-wine stain coverage, Rae attracts international patients to the UK for this specialist service, as well as for scar camouflage. Using realistic hair-stroke techniques for eyebrow restoration, eye definition, and lip symmetry correction post-scarring or skin grafts, she helps reconstruct facial features post-trauma or surgery through advanced scar re-pigmentation techniques.
Previously, Rae led the Medical Tattoo and Camouflage Clinic in the NHS Burns and Plastics Department at Morriston Hospital, Swansea, providing nipple-areola complex reformation with 3D nipple enhancement, alongside camouflage cream application for burns, scars, birthmarks, vitiligo, skin grafts, and pigmentation disorders.
Rae has completed Bond Solon Report Writing Training and Inspire MediLaw’s Expert Witness Training, accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons, ensuring excellence in medico-legal reporting. She specialises in Condition and Prognosis reports, adhering to Civil Procedure Rules, and is fully indemnified with Ntegrity Professional Insurance for her expert witness work.
