Dr Ben Huntley is a Consultant in Pain Medicine and Anaesthesia at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust where he is instrumental in leading the development of the Chronic Pain Service.

He studied Medicine at the University of Birmingham, achieving Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree (MBChB) in 2001. Between 2004 and 2012, Completing his clinical training in Anaesthesia and his Advanced Training in Pain Management at the Bristol School of Anaesthesia, completing the Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthesia examinations (FRCA) in 2008 and the Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Royal College of Anaesthetists examinations (FFPMRCA) in 2013. He took and passed the very first formal FFPMRCA examinations (in addition to the already-required clinical training) and is proudly a Fellow by examination of the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Royal College of Anaesthetists.

Dr Huntley has developed extensive clinical experience as a Chronic Pain Consultant, managing a wide range of complex cases in both the public and the private sector. He has clinical experience in the management of a wide range of chronic pain conditions.

With special interest in; chronic primary pain, chronic secondary pain, chronic pain after injury, chronic spinal pain, chronic neck pain, chronic widespread pain, complex regional pain syndrome, chronic visceral pain and neuropathic pain.
