Partners James Dawson and Robert Camm provide all aspects of support for Expert witness legal work (including matrimonial work, Court instructions etc) for Residential and Commercial property throughout South Wales.
James Michael Dawson qualified from the University of Glamorgan in 1999 with an Honours Degree in Estate Management Surveying. He was then employed in Donaldsons in London in the Retail Asset Management Department managing shopping centres for pension fund clients.
James then joined DTZ in Cardiff in 2001 where he was employed within the Professional Department valuing commercial property for various clients including banks, buildings societies, pension funds and private investors. It was in 2002, whilst at DTZ that James became a qualified Member of the RICS. In 2005 James was employed at Dawsons to increase the valuation and commercial side of the business. James was appointed a partner of Dawsons in January 2008.
James currently undertakes commercial valuation work for banks as well as for Expert Witness cases as well as advising on Freehold Purchases and Lease extensions in respect of Leasehold Reform. He also heads up the commercial management department overseeing some 150 commercial properties throughout the UK.
James is also actively involved with rent reviews and lease renewals for retained clients throughout Swansea and South Wales.
Robert Anthony Camm qualified from the University of Glamorgan with an Honours Degree in Property Management and Valuation in 2003.
Having worked at Dawsons from 2001, Robert continued employment in the Survey and Valuation departments, becoming an MRICS Chartered Surveyor in 2005.
In 2007, Robert joined national firm Lambert Smith Hampton where he was employed in the role of Industrial Agent dealing with properties throughout South Wales.
In 2009, Robert established CLC Chartered Surveyors as a general practice firm of Chartered Surveyors. 2018 saw the establishment of CLC Estate Management to focus on the management of residential and commercial blocks and estates.
In early 2024, Robert merged his business interests with Dawsons, where he rejoined as a Partner, undertaking work in the Valuation and Survey departments and overseeing the Block Management Department.
Over the years, Robert’s Survey and Valuation clients have included private individuals, Solicitors, Accountants, High Street Banks, Pension Funds, Housing Associations and Charities.
Robert undertakes surveys and expert witness reports across the South and South West Wales areas.
