• The firm enters the Andalusian market, reinforcing its coverage in the south of Spain, with a special focus on Seville and Malaga, as well as other nearby markets
• In addition, DWF-RCD incorporates Augusto Martín, Antonio Navarro, and Marta Catalán as new partners in the office, and María Jesús Guerrero Lebrón, professor of commercial law, as Of Counsel
The DWF-RCD law firm has announced the opening of a new office in Andalusia, which will be the firm's fourth in Spain. The action is part of the growth strategy of the firm, which at the end of 2019 announced its integration into DWF – a global legal business based in the United Kingdom and listed on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange – and means the entrance of the firm in a region where it already has established clients and institutional relationships, and which has a strong economy and growth potential in numerous sectors in which the firm has consolidated practices.
The new office will be physically located in the Seville's historic district, specifically in Calle San Fernando, and the firm is evaluating the possibility of opening other offices in Andalusia, particularly in Malaga. Like the rest of the offices, it will operate under a single office basis, meaning that it will be multidisciplinary in nature and will respond to the needs of clients in all legal practices and sectors covered by the firm. This new location will result in the incorporation of three Andalusian partners to the firm's structure: Augusto Martín, Antonio Navarro, and Marta Catalán, along with a team of various professionals. Similarly, the professor of commercial law, María Jesús Guerrero Lebrón joins the project as Of Counsel.
Adolf Rousaud, Co-Managing partner of DWF-RCD appraises the action: “Andalusia has an important business network, both traditional and innovative, and we have very close ties with the region due to our relationship with clients located or with a presence there. With this opening, we fulfil several strategic objectives for the firm. On the one hand, increasing our physical presence in the southern part of Spain, which will allow us to be closer to our clients in the region. On the other hand, acquiring new capabilities while expanding the coverage of the DWF Group, improving our proclivity for setting our sights on new markets”.
For his part, Ignasi Costas, Co-Managing partner of DWF-RCD comments: “We are very happy to continue attracting the best talent and to have Augusto Martín, Antonio Navarro, Marta Catalán, and María Jesús Guerrero Lebrón join the project, with careers paths that are widely contrasting in their respective specialities and that expand and reinforce our value proposition”.
Roadmap
The opening of the Andalusia office strengthens the growth of DWF-RCD and represents the first major milestone in expanding coverage since joining the DWF Group in 2019. This action will allow the firm to stay on the path of growth, which it hasn't strayed from since its creation.
